SPECIAL EVENTS / COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING EVENT GUIDELINES

UCSF Medical Center / UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco defines a “Benefit Event” as any fund raising activity by a non-affiliated group or individual, where UCSF Medical Center / UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco have no fiduciary responsibilities and little or no daily staff involvement.
These events may include but are not limited to the following types of events:

1. Non-Affiliated Events: this type connects UCSF Medical Center / UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco with an existing event, activity or program, and a portion or all of the proceeds are donated to the hospital.

2. Special Interest Events: an independent event specifically designed to raise funds for UCSF Medical Center / UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco, with all net proceeds going to benefit the hospital via UCSF Foundation.

UCSF Medical Center / UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco is extremely grateful to the many outside groups and individuals who wish to organize events to support the important work being performed at UCSF Medical Center / UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco. However, only those "Benefit Events" which meet specific criteria, and legitimately and genuinely benefit UCSF Medical Center / UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco, will be approved.
